For the first time the new natureplus representatives have met at the annual workshop in Frankfurt, Germany. Goal of the meeting was to exchange best practices of daily work, to discuss common marketing strategies and to develop the cooperation within the European natureplus network. For 2020 natureplus plans a European action week with visits to innovative buildings and production sites of sustainable construction products across Europe and web-based seminars.

Increasing activities in Europe

Since the beginning of 2019, natureplus pursues a new policy regarding its presence on the European market. The natureplus eco-label is designed as and in fact is a European-wide recognised type one eco-label. Yet, it is less known outside the German speaking markets. Together with four members and longstanding national partners natureplus has opened new representations in Europe, in order to increase the awareness for sustainable construction and the market penetration of natureplus and thus providing natureplus certified clients more value.

So far, European cooperation within natureplus were primarily aimed at acquiring new customers. Now, the new country representatives draw more attention to promote natureplus, by establishing cooperation, attracting new members and by anchoring the natureplus label in public procurement and among building professionals in the respective country as an instrument for sustainable building.

New representations of natureplus

natureplus members and clients benefit from the new structure. They can get in touch directly with the new country representations, which are: Alliance for Sustainable Building Products ASBP in the United Kingdom, the Stichting Agrodome in the Netherlands, the Austrian Institute for Healthy and Ecological Building IBO in Austria and Baubioswiss in Switzerland. These organisations provide expertise and insights into the specific national markets and interesting contacts additionally to the natureplus network.

Besides these four official representations in Austria, Switzerland, the UK and the Netherlands, natureplus has established contact points in Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Italy. Contact addresses of the natureplus partners may be found here at the homepage.
